![](https://box.kancloud.cn/b37463d6fd99af07390c9fa67484bb14_68x49.jpg) Overview The gate process is a station that trucks pass through when entering or leaving a gate and is used to represent time delays at the gate. It is identical to a [processor](Flexsim_Users_Manual.html) object from the standard "Discrete Objects" FlexSim library, except that it is drawn with a gate texture map. Properties The [processor](Flexsim_Users_Manual.html) object is explained in detail in the FlexSim users manual, but the two most commonly used parameters are described below. Process Time ![](https://box.kancloud.cn/05efe10897c1de2f696fb2afb77200df_454x80.png) The gate process can be used to represent entry or exit paperwork, gamma scanning, x-ray scanning, or any number of things that cause delays. To represent the delay time, change the Process Time [picklist](Flexsim_Users_Manual.html)located on the Processor tab. You may choose to use a static process time (e.g., 15 minutes) or a statistical process time (e.g., triangular(0.2,1.0,0.4)) or some other scheme. Time units are determined by the [Model Units window](Model_Units.html). Send To Port ![](https://box.kancloud.cn/185583bbce2eda7da80f4d730c6b6bc7_425x37.png) Following the process delay, the gate process can be used to route trucks to different roads or to additional gate processes for further scanning or any other routing requirement. To setup the routing rules, change the Send To Port [picklist](Flexsim_Users_Manual.html)located on the Flow tab. You may choose to always route to the same port (e.g., port 1) or distribute trucks to various ports (e.g., 85% to port 1 and 15% to port 2) or some other scheme. For additional details about this object, please refer to the information in the FlexSim users manual about [processors](Flexsim_Users_Manual.html).
