專精:為每個人提供鍛煉技能的機會,并提供反饋以支持其成長。
自主:設定良好的環境,但是不控制目標的日常執行。
目的:將工程師和公司的使命連接起來。
這些工作并不能畢其功于一役,相反我們要持續努力。這也不是能自上而下提供的。領導層要創造好的條件,但是每個人也要積極主動。
> Research shows that motivation is driven by `mastery`, `autonomy`, and `purpose`. In this talk, we will explore how to create the foundation that enables engineers to achieve all three: mastery by creating opportunities for everybody to grow their skills and providing feedback that supports that growth. Autonomy by setting context, but not controlling the day-to-day execution of goals. Finally, purpose by connecting everybody's work to the mission of the company. Doing this is not a one-time effort, but instead must be an ongoing effort. It is also not not something that can be provided top down. Leadership can create the right conditions, but every person must play an active role in accomplishing their own motivation.
