`pg_timezone_names`顯示了所有能夠被`SET TIMEZONE` 識別的時區名及其縮寫、UTC 偏移量、是否夏時制。（學術上，PostgreSQL 使用UT1而不是UTC，因為它不處理閨秒。）不同于在 [`pg_timezone_abbrevs`](#calibre_link-802) 中顯示的縮寫，許多這些名字都隱含著夏令時轉換規則。因此，在跨越夏令時邊界時相關信息會發生變化。 顯示的信息給予當前的`CURRENT_TIMESTAMP`值進行計算。
